Social tariffs explained

A social tariff is a special home internet package for people on certain benefits. It’s cheaper than standard broadband, with no hidden costs or long contracts.

Who can get one?

You might be eligible if you get:

  • Universal Credit
  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-based Employment Support Allowance
  • Pension Credit

Why it’s a good shout:

  • One of the cheapest ways to get internet at home
  • No set-up fees
  • Month-to-month, and cancel anytime
  • If money’s tight, you can pause or stop with no fuss
  • No tie-ins, you’re free to leave anytime
