  • Support to Succeed

    Support to Succeed

    If you’re ready to make a change in your life, or are just starting to think about it, Support to Succeed is here to help.

    It’s a free one-to-one coaching programme for people in Wythenshawe, run in partnership with Athena and Working Well (Greater Manchester).

    If you’re aged 19 or over and not already on another employment programme, you can sign up and start your journey at your own pace.

    We’ll work with you to understand what’s going on in your life and what matters most to you. Together, we’ll build a plan that works for you.

    Support includes:

    • Building confidence and feeling more motivated
    • Managing your money and budgeting
    • Help with job searching and career planning
    • Learning new skills or trying volunteering
    • One-to-one coaching sessions
    • Signposting to other services if you need them

    Who it’s for

    If you live in Wythenshawe, are 19 or older, and not part of another employment programme, this support is for you.

    You don’t need to be job-ready. We’ll meet you where you are and help you take the next step – whatever that looks like for you.

  • Motiv8

    Motiv8

    Motiv8 offers one-to-one support for up to six months to help you deal with whatever’s holding you back.

    Support includes:

    • Mental health (anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts)
    • Physical health issues or disability
    • Addiction or substance use (including alcohol, drugs, gambling)
    • Housing or homelessness
    • Money struggles or debt
    • Domestic abuse
    • Isolation or low confidence
    • Criminal record or a tricky past
    • Or just feeling lost and not sure where to begin

    How it works

    You’ll get a Key Worker who stays with you for six months. They’ll be there to help you build confidence, find the right support, and guide you towards work, training, volunteering or whatever you choose to do.

    Who it’s for

    • People 18+ living in Greater Manchester
    • Not in work, education, or training
    • Not already on a DWP programme like Restart or Work & Health
    • Jobcentre Plus customers
    • Need help with a few things, not just work

    How to get started

    Ask your Work Coach or Disability Employment Advisor at Jobcentre Plus for a referral.

    BeWell

    Be Well is a free service for anyone registered with a Manchester GP. It’s there to help people take control of their health and wellbeing, whether that’s support with work, money, housing or just feeling better day-to-day.

    How it works

    A trained Be Well coach will talk through what’s going on and what matters most to you. You’ll be matched with the right person on the team who can support them to move forward.

    Coaching sessions can take place in person or over the phone, whatever works best. The support is flexible, free and focused on what’s important to you.

    Be Well offers support with one issue or a few things linked together. It’s about finding a way forward, with the right help along the way.

    Here are some of the areas they support with:

    • Physical health
    • Mental health and wellbeing
    • Work and volunteering
    • Money
    • Housing
    • Feeling more connected

    Be Well helps people take small steps that make a big difference.

    Living Well Goals

    Not in work or training right now? Ready for a fresh start? Living Well Goals offers one-to-one support for people aged 16+ in Wythenshawe.

    We’ll help you:

    • Improve your mental wellbeing with up to six counselling sessions and optional group support
    • Build confidence and skills
    • Look after your physical health
    • Get involved in your community
    • Boost your digital skills
    • Explore work, training, or volunteering opportunities

    How it works

    We offer flexible, personal support. We’ll meet wherever works best for you, in your local community, online, or over the phone and create a plan that fits your needs. It’s your chance to take control, grow, and feel positive about the future.
