Help and advice

Your safety and wellbeing

We want everyone to feel safe where they live, whether that’s in their home, on their street, or around the neighbourhood.

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group

Standing up for our communities

No one should feel unsafe or uncomfortable in their own home. If someone’s behaviour is causing fear, stress or disrupting your day, we want to know.

We take safety seriously and work with the police and local partners to support residents and sort out problems.

How we support you

We work with you to help prevent crime, stop anti-social behaviour, and tackle things like vandalism and environmental problems. We’re especially here for older residents and for people who might feel vulnerable, to help them feel secure and confident in their community.

We’re part of a wider team that includes wardens, neighbourhood officers, and local services, all working together to make Wythenshawe a safer place to live.

We also support the police by sharing helpful info that can assist with their investigations and actions.

Our community safety team

Our Community Safety team keep a close eye on public areas, residential streets and community spaces. They’re ready to step in when something’s not right. Working with partners across Manchester, we help deal with:

  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Crime or suspicious activity
  • Environmental damage or fly tipping
  • Noise or nuisance complaints
  • Safeguarding concerns

We take all reports seriously and make sure they get to the right people fast – whether that’s emergency services, housing teams or support workers.

Your voice matters

Seen something worrying? Whether it’s noise, threatening behaviour, or anything else that’s making you feel uncomfortable or is making your life harder, tell us. You don’t have to give your name if you don’t want to.

Every report helps us take action and improve our community.
