About us

Equality, diversity and inclusion

Treating customers and colleagues equally and fairly.

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group

Our promise

We believe in doing right by everyone.

  • Equality is about making sure everyone’s got the same chance.
  • Equity means giving people what they need to get on, even if that looks a bit different for each person.

We aim to do both. Because everyone deserves to live well, work well, and feel like they matter. No matter who you and whatever your story.

What we’re doing about it

We’re proud of the different experiences and backgrounds our colleagues bring. We’re building a workplace where everyone feels welcome, supported and able to grow.

Our ‘Wyth Everyone’ strategy focuses on:

  • Accessibility – making our spaces and systems work for everyone
  • Co-creation – involving customers and colleagues in shaping what we do
  • Education – learning from each other
  • Data – using feedback and insight to improve

We’re always learning

Our approach

  • Support that fits you

Whether you’re applying for a job, already working with us, or going through a life change, we’ll listen, support you, and work together to find reasonable adjustments that work for you.

We want to make sure customers can use our services and feel comfortable in their home.

Sometimes that means doing things differently to meet those needs.

  • Colleague groups

Our colleague-led groups create safe spaces where people can connect, share experiences and help make Wythenshawe Community Housing Group better for everyone:

    Wyth Everyone – EDI network
A space for anyone who wants to help us become more inclusive. Share ideas, start conversations and shape change.

    Menopause Support Group
Open to anyone going through or affected by the menopause. Share advice, talk openly and support each other.

    The Green Team
Our sustainability group was launched to help ensure we work in a more environmentally friendly way.

    Our Voice
Our Voice is our way of helping colleagues share ideas, give feedback, and shape what happens across the organisation.

  • Pledges

We don’t tolerate discrimination or racism. We speak up, show allyship and take action to challenge unfairness.

We’re committed to learning, improving and creating a fairer workplace. We’ve signed up to these pledges and programmes to show what we stand for:

    • Disability Confident – Employer
    • LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge – Pioneer
    • BOOST Programme – supporting ethnically diverse talent in housing
    • Investors In People (Wellbeing) – Gold
    • Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter – Supporter
